    filenames conflict

    Hi,

I have just upgraded Actinic v4 to v5, now when I try to upload I get the following message:

"Some filenames conflict. All files being sent to the web site must have unique names. Some of the following files must be renamed before an upload can occur. Once the files are renamed, reselect them in the Actinic Ecommerce.

    C:\Program Files\Actinic ecommerce v5\Sites\Site1\search.html
    C:\Program Files\Actinic ecommerce v5\Sites\Site1\SiteHTML\search.html

    C:\Program Files\Actinic ecommerce v5\Sites\Site1\sitemap.html
    C:\Program Files\Actinic ecommerce v5\Sites\Site1\SiteHTML\sitemap.html"

It apears that it is trying to upload the same page from 2 different locations, these are catalog generated files, which as far as I am awaire I can't rename, and the only way I have found to stop it is by not having the pages in there at all. Does anyone know why it would be doing this, or how to stop it?

Thanks in advance for any sugestions.

I've just checked my copy of Catalog 5, and those two files only occur in the C:\Program Files\Actinic ecommerce v5\Sites\Site1\ directory. Presumably they are generated on the fly by Actinic, so I would imagine that they've no reason for being in your main \Site1 directory.

Move them into a temprorary directory and try and upload again. Hopefully that will do the trick

Have you got hardcoded links to these files somewhere or are they in your additional files list?

I had a couple of hard coded links to them, it seems this was the problem, thanks for the sugestion. It worked ok in v4, but I have had to do a different work around in v5.
