"Checking HTTP connection to remote server"

"Checking HTTP connection to remote server"
I have this problem with actinic version 6, while trying to set up my cart on a new server and trying to configure the web details.
The test facility (Advanced) says all is OK.
I have actually uploaded the pages and files, but cannot get the 'merge' to take place on the server.

    Can you help please?
    Regards
    Ian

    Ian,

    1. Manually FTP to your server

    2. Delete all the .pl and .pm files within your /cgi-bin/ folder

    3. Delete all the .cat and .fil within your /acatalog/ folder

    4. Within your local PC, please go to 'C:\Program Files\Actinic vX\Sites\Site1'

    5. Delete all the .pl and .pm and .cat files here as well

    6. Go to the folder 'C:\Program Files\Actinic vX\Original' and copy the .pl and .pm and paste them back into your Site1 folder

Now go to Web | Refresh Website

    Kind regards,

Thanks Bruce, I will do that.
Question though - Can you explain what went wrong?

It might have been a number of things that had gone wrong to do with permissions on the server, or Actinic losing track of what it has uploaded.

Bruce's suggestion is our standard way to 'reset' the Actinic upload and make sure that only the correct files are trying to be uploaded to the server. This normally solves the problem - if i doesn't, it means there is a problem at your web hosting company that needs resolving.
