Sitemap and one product per page

I have started changing our site to one product per page but this makes all the one product section pages appear in the sitemap. How do I take them out?

Sorry if this is simple or been covered before.

possibly a silly question but, why would you want to take them out?

I just thought that by the time I have finished the one product per page mission the site map would be so long no-one would find it usable .... but perhaps you are right .... and it would be easier to do nothing .....

I thought nobody used them anyway... Most people add sitemaps for SEO purposes, so the search engine spiders can find all the links. Can't say I've ever met a sitemap I found useful for navigating the site - but that's just my opinion...
