Actinic hangs during site update

Having been running on a dial-up for ages, I've finally crawled out of the dark ages and
upgraded to broadband and a Belkin wireless modem router.
I have gotten the wireless network to be pretty reliable, with only the occasional, brief drop-out.
However, when I try to update the website, Actinic sometime just hangs part-way through and has to be killed off.

Any suggestions?

Try using passive ftp. Router often block the return ftp connection that is required when passive ftp isn't selected.

Nope. I'm already on passive FTP. If left long enough I did get an FTP timeout message

try changing MTU on the router to 1500 - that works with Netgear..
