Upload and FTP problems

I have just changed the way I am connecting online from a BT provided modem to a netgear router, since the change I am having problems uploading using actinic and my other site which I use an FTP program called terrapin, I have managed to get actinic to upload, but very slowly, by ticking the "use passive FTP transfers" box, however the terrapin FTP program dosen't work at all, giving an error message and timing out....any ideas how to solve this anyone please

Might be an MTU issues within your netgear router (might be), so do a search for netgear and MTU within this forum, which should throw up others experiences and MTU solutions.
