    Fragments deleted but not gone

I've just noticed a strange thing.
I recently changed the directory in which my images are stored locally and , of course, changed the path within Actinic. Everything was fine until I tried to upload the site at which point I got an error saying there was a file name conflict - two image files had the same name, one with the original path and the other with the new. I scoured the entire catalogue but could not find a reference to the old file path anywhere. Eventually I searched the database directly in Access and found that the old file was referenced in a page fragment which no longer exists, having been situated in a section which was long since deleted. There were other fragments in there which had also been deleted. Now I could simply delete the fragment in Access I suppose, but why is this happening? Anyone got an idea?
Should have said; I have already compacted the database but that didn't help.

Housekeeping / Purge / Purge Content is meant to permanently remove all deleted items. Did you try this?

Warning: Some people mark Products / Sections as deleted and later undelete them if they return into stock. Don't do a Purge if you use deletion in this way as you'll lose the lot.

Yes, I've already done that but the fragments still appear in the database (although not in Actinic). If memory serves, all of the fragments in question were in a section or sections which were deleted. I assume that the contents of the section(s) would be deleted along with the section.

Looks like a corrupt database problem. I've no further ideas other than manually deleting these image names from the orphan fragments.

I've manually deleted the offending items from withing Access and it doesn't seem to have caused any problems. Thanks anyway.
