Script Error on Configuration File

This error message comes up when I click on the Add to Cart button.

A General Script Error Occurred

Has anyone come across this before?

Is this a new site or one that used to work fine?

Have you tried Web / Refresh to rebuild all the site files?

Did you try searching for previous answers? Searching for Error loading configuration file returns lots of possibly pertinent results.
