    Cookies

    Hi Folks,

Having a slight problem with cookies which only appears to have started today. Here's the message that some people are getting when going through to shopping cart etc (not everyone, just some people)...

"The shopping application requries permissions to use cookies on your machine - this has been denied but this is under your control."

What could be causing this and is there a way around it that anyone is aware of?

    Thanks for your help
    Cheers

This can sometimes be affected by your network settings (e.g. having www.domain.com in one field and having just domain.com in another field). More often than not, is caused by customers will oversensitive security software not allowing cookies to be set. Without these cookies, Actinic cannot function, so there's nothing we can really do about that except point them to the default text in the Terms and Conditions which explains why cookies are OK.

Could we maybe see a URL - that might help us understand what the issue is.

      Thanks Chris,

I think you're right about people with oversensitive security.

My only other theory is that perhaps it is to do with the 'remember me' option when people are filling in their details? Or am I very much mistaken? I was wondering if it's possible to turn this option off to see if that solves the issue.
      Cheers

You can hide this field in 'Design | Text | Web Site (cont) | Invoice Address' (untick the 'Show' box). You can see if this helps.
