products in index page

Hi all, I have had a good look about on here and don't seem to find anything that relates to the question, If I have missed it sorry.

I am building a mobile phone shop and on the brochure primary page ie: www.website.com/index.html I have a fragment at the top of the main body which includes a pic and introduction text, under that I was wondering if there was a way (that the client would be able to manage) to display products (say a phone with its price etc) in two colomns or three for that matter, something like this at the top for example: http://www.mkphones.com/. Or do I ave to code this all by hand by editing a fragment template thats not is use?

Alas brochure pages and product pages do not operate in a similar way. You can use the "adding a product from anywhere on the internet" trick found in the Advanced User Guide to get similar functionality onto none product pages
