recommend a friend

can somebody please help? i am trying to set up a recommend a friend link and have created an email template in outlook 2003, but when i try and use dreamweaver mx it only allows me to use me own address as the mailto. i want to leave this blank so customers can just fill it in themselves and send it. i have seen this method on another site. can anyone help?
