    Using Actinic Databases

    Hi,

I'm planning on doing some work on the databases created by Actinic and linking data into them. I just want to make sure that I wont cause some kind of fatal error if I start messing with them.

For example I was thinking of creating an external stock table that I will manage day to day and manipulate from other tables as a result of purchases (external) and sales (from Actinic orders if possible). I would then feed the results of this table into the main products table in the Actinic database.

Has anyone tried this? Or can anyone let me know if this will cause and problems?

    Thanks,

    Myles

Look at the internal help topic on "external linking".

      Hi Bill,

Thanks for your help (and on my previous post re layout)

Sorry to be dim - how do I access the internal help? I went on to the help and advice pages and looked for this (and variants from previous post) but had no luck.

I assume Bill means that you should look at the help menu in the program itself, not on these boards.

Yes, Actinic Menu Help | Help Topics, Contents tab - almost exactly half way down.
