    Editing Reports

I've read several threads that mention Invoices & Packing Notes can only be amended using Crystal Reports or Add on Software but is this the case with Reports eg. Stock Level Warning Reports

We could do with adding in a column for the Report Description Field (we use it as a Pick Bin locator).

All of the Actinic printed reports can be edited with crystal reports 8.5.

      Editing reports - Stock levels

Trying to find out if it is possible to change the order of the stock list when printed.

27 pages are produced; yet not in any usable order; question therefore is it possible to change the order of printing this report to say Alphabetical?!

Paul, have you thought about doing this from excel? It isn't hard to pull the data you want into a spreadsheet where you can then process it to your hearts content.

If I had time I'd put up the code for you but I'm in the middle if doing my accounts.

          XL and stock control

Thanks for the reply; I'll look into this.
Did you mean exporting from the database file? As I can't seem to figure out how do export to a spreadsheet otherwise.

It's currently sorted in product reference order, to change the order you would need to edit the report using crystal reports version 8.5 or ask a developer to customise the report for you (we do this and so does Duncan Rounding).

We have a new version of our profit and pricing tool (cunningly renamed to be the profit, pricing and stock tool - contact me if you want this beta) that offers some alternative stock reports - actually we also have some stock reports in our free library they are shown in a little tree of products, so might be just what you need.

You can also print these reports from our spellchecker program - there is a free trial for this here :

              DB reporting

              Thanks Jan also.

We've solved the issue by creating a report within the database, pulling across item, current stock and re-order value in to a report then exporting the report to print or e-mail to the rest of the sales team.

              Problem solved

              Thanks
