Upgrade from Catalogue 25 to Business

I Have 6.1.2 catalogue 25

If I buy the Business version do I just plug in the upgrade key and all the new features spring in to life OR do I need to re-run the install?

Also, if I purchase from the catinic website do i receive the upgrade key from the web or do I have to wait for the software to arrive in the post?
