setting postage by area

Hi,
On our website we currently have no postage charges set up because we were doing free postage to uk mainland,
However we have recently been getting some interest from international customers who we have to charge for postage,

What I want to know is, is there a simple way to apply a set charge to each area

EG

UK Mainland - FREE
UK NON Mainland - £10
Northern ireland - £10
Ireland - £20
Rest Of Europe - £25
USA - £40

Also is there a way to change this for some of the smaller items, i was thinking along the lines of putting the price as buy weight but only using 2 weights, like 0.1k to trigger the lower price set, then 0.5k to trigger the higher price set,

You will need to create the extra regions in Advanced | Locations. Please take a look at this thread for more instructions : http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=6728

For EU and USA, you can create New Zones and include the relevant countries into the respective zones, and then create single classes under them for the relevant charges.

Re the charge for the smaller items, could you please clarify if this is for all the zones?
