"General Script Error"

Customers keep getting this error message during or trying to complete a purchase:

A General Script Error Occurred

Press the Browser back button and try again or contact the site owner

Doesnt happen on every purchased item but seems to happen after 2 0r 3 items have been selected. I have refreshed the site OK but still getting the error messages. Also able to download and upload OK.

Any idea what the problem is anyone?

We have the same problem and occasionally an order will come through without the customer's details.
clara.net host our site.
This started to happen about 30/10/06

Try a purge and refresh.

Eventually seem to have got it going again via repeat refreshes. Also seems it might be something to do with clara.net as they also host our site.

Definitely a clara net problem

They upgraded some servers and our site was down for 6 hours on a Sunday a couple of weeks ago - they said it was scheduled work -great time to lose your site at this time of year from 9am to 3pm Sunday !!!
Since then we have had numerous customers complaining about this error and are no doubt losing orders.
We are getting different errors from timeout errors to the one below:-

Error: Error opening ../acatalog/dslZspZ81Z140Z4Z9ZinZaddrZbroadbandscopeZcomA1163530377B86945.session (Interrupted system call)

Trying test orders appears to only happen now and again but is not good.
