E-Mail orders

Dear Forum
i seem to have a problem with sending order confirmation e-mails, i keep getting a message saying the smtp chosen is not a valid server or a may be blocked by a firewall. somthing along those lines.
my problem is, this was working, but now it's not.
any suggestion.

oh yeah i'm still having problems changing my homepage to micro frontpage it stops you from going into the product range.
any help would be great.

Hi Tony

If your order confirmation emails were being sent successfully, and now they are not, it would seem to be a hosting issue. Have you checked with your web host that the smtp gateway is setup correctly?

My e-mail system is one i have been using for years, i didnt get it with my hosting company,
do you recomend setting up an account with my hosting company????

You don't need to set up a new email account with them just ask them for the name of the smtp server for your account. I had the same problem with fasthosts, everything was working and then suddenly it stopped and it was fixed my using the fasthosts smtp server.
