    Post Code 'Required Field'

    We have a problem in that the post code in the order form is a required field and there are no post codes in Eire so quite a number of our Irish customers cannot get passed this stage.

    Does anyone know a way of either

    a) blocking the required field for Eire

    Or

    b) inserting instructions to put in '000' for Eire

    Thanks

    Would suggest the notification method, so go into the Advanced | Template Manager and Orders tab and go through each order01,02 template looking for postalcode.

    You will find the areas that use it and then you can add your own notification next to or under (using a <br/>) the specific InvoicePrompt, which think is 008 off the top of my head.

      Postal Code 'Required Field'

      Many thanks for your help. Have found 'postal code' on a couple of the templates one as follows:

      NETQUOTEDELELIVERPROMPT008
      <TR>
      <TD BGCOLOR="NETQUOTEVAR:CHECKOUTBG"><FONT FACE="ARIAL" SIZE="2">NETQUOTEVARELIVERPROMPT008</FONT></TD>
      <Actinic:LOCATION TYPE='DELIVERPOSTALCODE'>
      <TD BGCOLOR="NETQUOTEVAR:CHECKOUTBG"><FONT FACE="ARIAL" SIZE="2"><INPUT TYPE="TEXT" NAME="DELIVERPOSTALCODE" SIZE="10" MAXLENGTH="50" VALUE="NETQUOTEVARELIVERPOSTALCODE"></FONT></TD>
      </Actinic:LOCATION>
      </TR>
      NETQUOTEDELELIVERPROMPT008

      Rather hesitant on changing the templates as am not sure exactly where to put the notification and what was meant by 'Invoice Prompt' Whre does what we put finally appear?

      Sorry to be dumb!!

        You can make the postal code field not required by going to 'Design | Text | Web Site (cont) | Invoice Address' and de-selecting 'Required' next to the 'Postal Code' field.

        You can also edit the text of the postal code prompt here if you wanted to add in your own extra message.
