    VAT Query

I have a question about the VAT settings on Catalogue v6
I put all my prices in at RRP.
I want to show this as including VAT.
When I put the setting to include VAT it adds 17.5% onto my RRP .
ie I put in my product is £70, but when somebody buys this on line is show the product at £82.25!

Is there any way I can show my prices that I type in to the product to include VAT without working out the price less VAT?

    Please help

    Thanks

    Will

The only way is to switch of the taxes within the software so they are not calculated, as the software requires VAT exclusive prices so that it can do all of the correct tax calculations it needs to if using a tax rate.

to work out the tax get your vat inclusive price of say £12.50, divid it by 47 and then times it by 40, which will give you the price less VAT.

You will have to do this for all products manually, unless you open the Db in Access and run a query on all prices to do it across the board.

The easist way to enter products without VAT is to enter the product reference and the price into an excel spreadsheet and then use a formula to calculate the VATless value and then use the import facilities to keep the prices correct in Actinic (flat file import is the easist thing to use but you will need to enter the section number in the spreadsheet as well to use this).
