VAT problem

Im having trouble setting up the VAT properly on the products on the store im building.

The price i am imputting into the product is the price including the VAT.

I need the store to say how much the product is then the VAT, the same way it workes out the VAT on the price if it was not included.

Ive searched all the forum and help files and i just cant figure it out!

How do i set all the products to have VAT included on the price that i give each product?

found it eventualy, why thats in a misc page in the design options and no where near anything to do with the tax or money i dont no!!!

Ive now run into an even bigger problem

The way im pricing products is totaly depending on size options for the product.

i have no base price on the product, and i use the size options to set the price in the component | permutations section.

Now, i show the price for the product in the HTML name, so i have manually typed in the price for each product, EG: 1000mm x 1000mm - £200, which shows a list of radio buttons with the html name.

Ive set the tax to VAT Inclusive but the final price still ends up wrong.

Whether i choose inclusive or exclusive the end price is including vat ontop of the price i am imputting into actinic.

all the prices i am imputting into the store are including the VAT.

How do you change this arround so it workes out the prices via the initial price i input. Not adding the VAT ontop of the product price i have put in, its already there!

Please help me out here someone! im compleatly lost.

This should work if the tax is set to be VAT inclusive where the price is set.

Make sure when using the associated product pricing that you've ticked the box for the associated tax as well.

Im sorry but i dont understand how any of what you are telling me works.

I have tax set to inclusive on Design | Options | Misc

This still doesent stop the program from adding on the VAT instead of working out the VAT from the full price i have imputted, i guess its just an option on how to show what the VAT is.

Now, in buisness settings i cant see anything that will allow me to set the TAX / VAT on the program to inclusive or exclusive. ive searched for hours now over the help files and here and cant find anything.

The 2 tick boxes for associated product pricing and tax wont even let me tick them?!

Any idea's?

this is strange. I suggested you check that VAT inclusive is selected as Actinic appears somewhere to be deciding to add VAT to the values you're entering.

Is actinic adding VAT to all the prices you're entering or only those that have choices?

every product has a choice, and every product is adding VAT ontop of the price i have put in which has the VAT included. Even the postage is getting a VAT charge!

I have it set to inclusive in the Design | Options | Misc tab. see pic below.

is there an option to change VAT inclusive/exclusive anywhere else other than the Design | Options | Misc options? i cant find any after looking all day, im getting rather frustrated!

yes, all products are adding the VAT.

the price i have set for a test product is 236, the product on the site comes out at Price: £277.30 (Including: VAT at 17.5%)
