    Changing the products link order

How do you change the order of the products and sub menue's etc.

Instead of actinic choosing what order to list all my products and fragments, i would like to put them in my own order.

Can anyone tell me how to do this? ive searched help topics and the forum and cant find anything.

    Thanks

if it was i think you mean, when in actnic just cut the product you want to move in the content tree and paste it where you want it. same for the sections. if i've got the wrong end of the stick post back with more detail and your website for reference

Youve definatly got the stick but i think ur in the middle lol.

I can structure it with ease

      ill give an example:

      Kitchens > Style 1 > Units
      Product B
      Product D
      Product A
      Product C

This is how actinic puts the products on the store

How can i change the order to how i want.. for example

      Kitchens > Style 1 > Units
      Product A
      Product B
      Product C
      Product D

aswell as, i cant seem to put a fragment above a subcatogry.

      Its got to be possible!

To reorder the product list simply shift-drag the product to the new location. Jan at mole-end also has a small utility for this.

For fragment positions see Bill's previous replies (wjcambe) to this question ..... this is his stock n trade favourite

Ok, ive got products, thats all good with the shift key.

Bit frustrating that i couldent find out something that simple without asking on here tho!

My main problem is trying to put a fragment in between 2 sub catagorys.

Cutting n pasting doesnt seem to like it.

do you no if its possible?

            It's in the Help!

Fragments should also work just like Products. See "Editing, Moving and Deleting Products" in the Actinic Help.

However you won't be able to put a product or fragment in between 2 Sections. Sections appear one after the other in a list and you cannot interrupt this list with a Product. It should be possible to add products or fragments after all the sections.

              the answer....

i manage my product order quite successfully.

              i'll give an example.....

              main product
              -D
              -B
              -A
              -C

all i do is drag and drop each item one at a time into the main product heading starting with the item i want listed at the end first......

you can even drag and drop whole lists too, and its easy to move items around into other headings

i think you get the idea
if theres another way i dont know about please let me know

              cheers

Sharon - you may find shift dragging a little easier - if you accidentally drop the item in the wrong place this throws everything out and you have to start all over with the bottom item first
