"valign=top" for section titles in section listing

OK I have a section list with two sections in split into 2 columns. The section on the left has a really long description blurb, while the section on the right has virtually non. They look very bad at the moment as one has it's sectio title at the top oif the page but the other has a section title halfway down the sapce of the other. I know *what* the problem is, i.e. the HTML code ti fix it, it's becuase the cels in the table that make up the pager are set to "valign=center" instead of "valign=top", but I don't know which file the necessary <table>and<td> tags reside in to change them.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
