Try the following: (a little extreme, but does make a clean start of things)

    1. FTP into the site, and manually delete the acatalog folder. Delete all files in your cgi-bin. If you are allowed, delete the cgi-bin and re-create it, remembering to chmod it to 755.

    2. Open your actinic site folder, and delete the following:

    *.cat

    ??000001.p?

    candprice.fil
    candprod.fil
    candtext.fil

    fullprice.fil
    fullprod.fil
    fulltext.fil

    newprice.fil
    newprod.fil
    newtext.fil

    prevprice.fil
    prevprod.fil
    prevtext.fil

(* and ? are wildcards, * meaning any number of characters, ? meaning one character)

    3. Click Web, Refresh.

If you get a rather huge error message part way through uploading, delete md000001.pl and try uploading again.

You can also try turning on or off the Passive FTP Transfers options in Advanced, Network Setup. (Whichever is the opposite of what is currently selected).

      permissions - mail?

I really dont know what was causing the problem... my permissions looked ok, but i reapplied them... but as i had changed hosts my smtp email was setup incorrectly within the network settings.

After changing that it worked ok... go figure!

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
