Creating continued pages

i apollagize if tis has been asked before, I have had a look to find similar posts but as yet have had no joy,

I'm not sure what you would call this but- i have just been asked to add loads of new products to a section of our catalogue, if i add them as i have currently been doing so i would get a long page with all the products in, what i would like to do however is to... In that section of the catalogue have more that one page with the products, ( 1 : 2 : 3 : 4 : 5 ) or ( showing page 1 of 5 )

does this makes sense?

any help would be greatly excepted, or if someone could inform me of what this is comonly called so taht i can search into this myself, as there is no rush on this lead.

I believe it is classed as "next" and "previous" links and is definitely in the AUG somewhere.
