V6 Update Problem

I've just tried to update (a thing I do several times a week) and got this message:

"Unable to connect to the FTP server because the specified username or password is incorrect."

Apart from wondering why this should suddenly happen, can anyone talk me through what I need to do to rectify it?

The first thing I'd do is check that the username and password specified in the network setup are still valid. I'd also check that my websites ftp access is still working by manually ftp'ing into my site.

Mike - forgive my ignorance (which is immense) but when you say "manually ftping into the site", do you mean logging on as a visitor (which I've done - it was fine) or something else?

No, go and get your self an FTP program - Filezilla is an open source good one.

Then try to conenct to your site.

This may help to identify if the problem is at the host or within Actinic
