Store Sections Background colour change

Hi, I would like to change the background colour from white to a light blue colour in the left hand side ''Store Sections'' box only, and keep the rest of the site background white. Ive worked out how to change the colour of the text but just can't work out how to change the background colour. Depends how technical you want to get, easiest way is probably to add a background colour to the <td> tag which contains the area you want to style.
