Choices not selectable

Hi

Is it possible to have a choice like 'please select' at the top of the choices drop down menu, that isn't selectable?

i suppose it depends on what you mean by not selectable.
and what selection mechanism....radio button, drop list etc.

you could try adding your 3 choice names for example

Please Choose
Choice 1
Choice2
then on your component....press the fill list permutations tab....and on the please select choice....uncheck the valid box.

this will product and error message if they try to add to cart without selection choice 1 or 2 saying something like

"sorry the selection you have chosen is not valid"
