Is there any way of moving completed orders into 'completed' without actually physically printing the invoices. Basically, I want to save on ink and paper and not have to print each one out. Any way of getting round this or any plans for an update to get round this?

As Mike says you can install a PDF printer, our plugins allow you to bypass invoice printing as well, contact me if you want more details.
In V8, you can use One Click Order Completion to avoid printing invoices.
