Not connecting to server

Hope somebody can help? I can no longer upload to our hosting company (Names.co.uk) I have gone into the Advanced network setup and run a test and it keeps coming back "Unable to connect to the FTP server "212.84.175.70". The connection with the server was reset". I have contacted Names and they say this could be a problem with the Actinic software. Can anybody help.

well if you type the IP into a browser it doesn't go anywhere, thus it is an IP issue and not an actinic issue.

Why are you using the IP in place of domain name?

OK, I have replaced with the domain name in and all works fine now. Thank you for your help.
