    Advisory New Order Email v4

    Hi,

    A quick question:-

The software v4 sends me an email if a new order is received since I last downloaded them, but if I get more orders after that one, I receive no advice, and consequently have no idea how many orders are sitting on the server at any given time.

I would love to receive a copy of the same "order acknowledgement" email that my customers recieve when they succesfully place an order. That way I can be totally up to date as to the number, and value of the orders that I receive.

Which template do I edit, and where do I edit it, to achieve this, or indeed, how can I get the software to send me an email, every single time an order is placed.

    Thank you in advance.

    Best wishes

Afraid duplicate copies of customer emails is not a feature of v4, and not sure if it was included in v5 for that matter.

You might be able to adhok something in the perl scripts to achieve it, but chances are you would be on your own in attempting it, as most will use the duplicate email option in the latest versions, but someone might have done something in the past.

If all else fails, then you might be able to get your host to copy emails sent from a certain email address (i.e. the one you use in Actinic) to an alternate email address, so anything sent from the Actinic site is copied to a separate email address, although duplication of emails will no doubt occur for order received and test emails ect, but possible so long as your mail is with the same provider as your Actinic site.

The first place to look for stuff like this is always the knowledge base (the link on the top RHS of the forum).
