    Components, attributes on product page

    Hello,

I need to be able to set up my product page (for a bath) so that the customer can select which bath feet they would like with it (they need to pick one of the two avaliable so either with a drop down box or radio buttons) and then also be able to add on some extras (bath waste, tap, etc) if they desire them (so these would be tick boxes).

I have attached a quick example of what i desire which i have done in photoshop. Is it possible to do? Any if so any ideas how?

    Thanks

    Jon

p.s. from what i have tried it appears that components would be the best way to do this rather than attributes, purely because you can incorperate products with a component.

This is important for when the order is transfered into SAGE because the stock needs updating.

Something like this may be ok:

      Product A (bath)
-component1, attribute, choices (Foot selection) linked to products
-component2, attribute, choices (Upsell Extras) linked to products

Take a look at the computer products in the default Actinic database - that's very similar to what you are trying to do.

Thank drounding, great help! Worked perfectly!

However this has lead me to another problem, but not a big one! The thumbnail images dont appear in the shopping cart (she attached image). In the properties of the broken images the image address (URL) it says netquotevar:THUMBNAIL ??

        Any ideas??

        Cheers

        Jonathan

Can you make sure that the thumbnail images are correctly assigned to each of these products ? If they are where are these images stored on your PC? Try placing them in your 'Site1' folder and then checking to see if they appear or not. If this is on the preview, then try adding these images to the 'PreviewHTML' folder.

            Kind regards,

The image is of the shopping cart online, so all of the images are from the server!

Displaying images in the checkout in V7 was a mod developed by Norman. See here (about three quarters down the page):

Thanks drounding, that worked a treat!

I would like to display the product code on the product page next to the components. Is this possible? There must be a NETQUOTEVAR for this somewhere, just cant find it.

                  Thanks

Sorry Jonathan - there's no NETQUOTEVAR for this. You can do it in v8 though.
