when uploading timed out...

Hi all,

juust wondering anyone can help, i upload everthing is ok but it gets to "checking search indices" and then the errror message comes up "timed out" i have changed the ftp settings as of yesterday to "passive ftp transfers" but still this is occuring?

any ideas?

Often this is down to the server with increased traffic - not much you can do and your host will probably claim all is well.

As ever - always worth compacting the database and just keep on trying the connection, especially at an off-peak time.
