Merge request error

Hi Folks,

I'm desperately trying to upload a new site today so a client can see it and I keep being given the following error message at the death of the upload.

An error occurred while merging files on the remote site. The web site index has been corrupted. Catalog is unable to update the index.

Has anyone encountered this before and if so, can anyone tell me how to overcome this. Much appreciated.

Hi Ian,

have you tried searching for "merge file" as this has cropped up before with a variety of options and solutions which may be common to your issue
