    Strange behaviour of Content screen

    Hello all

It's nice knowing you all, thanks for reading and helping me with my issues.

I've just upgraded from v4 to v7 so expect a number of questions from me.

The first is to do with the Content screen. I normally have the 3 pane view (wide preview). Sometimes, when I start Actininc or sometimes when I return to it from other apps, the page preview has taken over the whole screen and the Content Tree and Section Details panes disappear. I have to drag the page preview screen downwards to make them re-appear again.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Hi Jo, thanks for quick response again.

Sorry to appear a little dumb but I don't have this option. I use v7 standard, maybe you are referring to a different version? To the left of help is Reports and Advanced.

I think Jo thought you were using V8.
It seems that the problem is related to settings not getting remembered. You could try compacting the database and then restarting Actinic though and see if the problem persists. I do recall similar problems like this from others some time ago - try searching the forum for other posts that may be similar.

Hopefully Actinic will respond on this for you...

Great memory Duncan. This did come up some time ago, its a bit hazy but I dont think we ever got to the bottom of it.

I would suggest raising a support ticket as we will need to see a snapshot to check if it is replicable and perhaps offer a solution to the issue.

              Kind regards,

                Thanks Bruce.

I compacted the database a couple of days ago as suggested above and no problem since. If it happens again, I'll raise a ticket.

It happened again when starting Actinic. I'll log a support ticket.
