    Two search problems

I have two problems with the search on my website:

    1) I've added a 'Back to Top' link to all products pages, which works fine - except when you search. When it displays the list of products found with a 'Back to Top' link the link doesn't work from the search results. Is that because I need to add the javascript to the search results page and, if so, how do I do it?

    2) On some PC's if you search repeatedly for several items it loses the site altogether and won't even allow you to access the home page or any other page. You have to reboot the internet connection to get back onto the site. Has anyone heard of this before?
    Cheers

    Hi Stuart

If both these problems are occuring on a live site would it be possible for you to give us the URL so we can do some tests and checks.

I've only just seen the reply to my original post, sorry!

Yes you can test it if you like. It's www.blacksheepwools.com. It will re-divert to another domain we are using but that's the easiest address to type out!

        Stuart,

It looks like the search results link somehow causes the javascript you are using to create the link to drop the section name. The 'back to top' link that is seen on a product that you access from the search results page has a link like this ... https://secure.yoursebsite.co.uk/acatalog/#top, hence the error.

If you have declared the javascript that does this for you on your Primary template, then you need to do the same on Act_PrimaryCheckout.html as the search results are displayed within the over all checkout layout.

If that does not help, I would suggest raising a support ticket so that a member of the team can take a look at this for you.

        Kind regards,
