Fastest and most compliant theme ?

Hi all,

Im back again to ask more silly questions !

Can someone advise on which of the v7 templates is best for overall speed and W3C compliant ? Not including smart, as I do not like the cgi nav links.

Or as compliant as it can be within Actinic limitations.

The smart theme is not that pretty from a standards viewpoint. Best option are the clean themes for a starting point but you do have to put in some design time to pretty them up and time checking the code for compliance.

You are never going to get to level 3 compliance but the clean themes are the best starting point IMHO

We'd a Google pagerank of five for ages until we changed onto the Smart theme. We've stuck on four since.

These is a large thread a while back about someone making a theme `clean`. Worth searhing the forum I'd say.
