    Customer email lists

    Hi,

I'm trying to mail out a feedback questionnaire to a broad selection of our customers (those recorded in Actinic as having purchased from us) and would like to build a list of customer emails from Actinic 7.

Just wondered if there is a quicker way of doing this other than cutting and pasting individually from each order profile?

    Any help greatfully received.

You can get this information from the database with Access or Excel.
If you use Excel you can go to Data - Import External Data - Import Data - select the Actinic database and the table Person. You may just have to delete some entries that appear more than once.

You can export them from the database using access or excel and then use something like groupmail to remove the duplicates. They are stored in the table called person.

We also sell a plugin for V7 that will do this for you, there are more details and a free trial at this URL :

Thanks a lot guys. I think on the basis that mole-end hasn't failed me yet I'll go for that option.

One more question though - how do I do it?

Just install the free trial from the URL above, setup the details on the front page to have no dates, selected and set the order types you want to export, enter the name of the file you want to save them into and click on export. If you want to print labels or envelopes, click on preview instead of printing and then select print on the preview page that is displayed.

The trial version is limited to exporting 50 at a time but the full version will deal with all of them at once.

          Regards,
