Will changing hosts affect search engine rankings?

Hi all

I'm considering changing my ISP (currently with Webfusion/Pipex) as they are dragging their heels sorting out SSL and i'm now concerned over their level of customer service...

Anyway, will switching to another host have any affect on my search engine rankings or results? (short or long term)

Also, how easy is it to move hosts, is it a pain?

when you are indexed by a search engine it is the URL that is indexed, thus by changing host you are not changing URL therefore there should be no tangible disruption.
