Product exempt from shipping class

Hi

is there anyway from stopping a shipping class being available on a specific product? ie if all products are avaibale for overnight delivery expect one, is it possible to stop this one being able to be ordered as such?

In v7 the only option is when using weight based shipping to assign a weight to the product that is above the highest weight band of the shipping method and select the excess option to not allow shipping.

v8.5.0 addresses more complex shipping issues.
