I've hacked together an 'upsell' script of sorts for v7, not exactly 'customer also bought' but kind of. Basically every item has an 'upsell' customvar which contains names of other sections related to the item. When the page loads the script picks a random item from the specified section and displays a link to it. Example at http://www.diskdepot.co.uk/acatalog/DVD_R_39.html The only downside is that you have to wait for the page to load before the script is called.

It was a bit of a job to do so I haven't thought about making a version available for anyone else :s

Hi, i'm looking to upgrade just for this feature, but what worries me is that I tried the V8 Trial version and it was a bit wobbly - this was in then early days, is it more stable now?

It gets more stable and better with each sub version released. There are hundreds of v8 sites now live, so although it is not perfect yet, i wouldn't hold back personally.

I have to agree - upgrade to 8.

Pay someone to do it, take out your money from underneath your bar of soap and start benefitting from the marketing modules and better code for SEO.
