    How to remove this painful Act_section_tree.js

    Is there a way to remove it from Act_Primary.html ?
    I can't find it in the source code of Act_Primary.html.

    Is this line responsible for Act_section_tree.js?
    <!--@act NETQUOTEVAR:SECTIONTREE_RAW -->

    I code my own html links instead of using this huge javascript section tree which Is a big pain because it slows down the site extremely. Therefore I need to remove it.
    Thank you!

    That's the culprit. Remove it (or just delete the @act as it will then be commented out normally) and check for JavaScript errors (use Firefox and Tools / Error Console) in case some other code is using it.

      Thank you it worked! But not for checkout pages, they still load the complete javascript menu.

        You need to remove it from both of the master templates. The checkout pages use a different template.

            As an aside .. what was the reasoning for naming the primaries as they are? Surely Act_PrimaryBrochure.html would have proved a better naming convention as we have Act_Primary and Act_PrimaryCheckout!

            I need to get out more often

                      Useful thread this! I've been plagued by Act_section_tree.js for 12 months and I've finally found out how to get rid of it!

                      Act_CartPrimary.html is the other template that need doing.

                        Is that a default template Alan? Never seen it before.

                          Dunno. I just did a search of the templates and found it. Maybe its one I created 12 months ago and forgot?
