Query re Links tab in Product Details

Yes I have used the ext. info on some products, but not all, for the purpose of popup images, but in the 'Links' tab section the 'Image Clickable' tab is supposed to be for a different purpose isn't it? not to make an image larger bit to link an image to a url. This option is greyed out whether you use the ext. info section and is till greyed out if you don't?
