6 Business with IE

Another possible bug. If you use latest 6 catalog or business, and are not using the latest service pack upgrade for IE, it fails at checkout going to credit card details with "unable to display this page". SP1 overcomes the problem, but it does not happen on old sites with V3. Appreciate it may be a microsoft browser problem, but an awful lot of people still dont use the latest IE with service pack, and it sends the message the site is not working correctly. Does not happen in Netscape, Opera or Mozilla.
Could Actinic see what they have changed and perhaps bring out a patch to go back to the old checkout system so it doesnt fail

Could you show me the URL of the site that has the difficulty?

I'm wondering if it something to do with early versions of IE6 not shipping with Java enabled. Are you using Actinic's in-built encryption?

and it turns out to be a well known and documented problem with IE & SSL. Microsoft have acknowledged its a bug and details can be found at

Gary has also given a possible workaround.

May I suggest full details are posted on knowledgebase to help others.
