V7 on vista quick working hack.

ok, ok, its not really a hack, and its really not that clever, but just to let you all know. i had to get V7 on vista yesterday, and i cheated using vmware and an old windows 2000 cd.

Get vmware player free

Make a new machine for the player

i installed windows, then v7, then shared the site1 folder over the lan.

the vm can then be backed up in its enterity.

like i said, dirty hack. but it works.

I do similar for a variety of other reasons. I run MS Virtual Machine (also free now) and have a number of different OS builds and software versions on my machine - works well.
