    Your favicon is the little picture that appears in the browser address bar beside you web address or on the tab if you are using a tabbed browser.

    It does not show anywhere on your page(s).

    Are you getting confused with your Company Logo? You enter the filename for this in Business Settings.

    [edit] after checking - it does show in the browser for the internal catalog pages. If you also want it to show in the browser when a user is on the home page, you either need a second copy of the .ico file in the root - or change the reference on your brochure primary page to /acatalog/favicon.ico

        wjcampbe's edit has the answer - do have a copy of the file in your document root at http://www.mysite.co.uk/favicon.ico ?

        It doesnt appear as if you do.

        Click this link...

        http://www.jerseynecklaces.com/acatalog/favicon.ico

        then try this...

        http://www.jerseynecklaces.com/favicon.ico

        Note the difference. That suggests to me that the file doesnt exist in the root directory.

            John, the post above yours give you the reason, it is not in the root of your site, i think you misread what he was telling you.

              Actinic cannot upload the favicon to the root of your domain you will need to do that manually with an ftp client. Actinic will upload to the acatalog folder hence it works on the catalog pages but not the brochure pages.

              It might work (not tested) if you change the path in your Act_BrochurePrimary template to the full URL of the favicon in your acatalog folder.

              ie change:
              <link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" >
              to:
              <link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.jerseynecklaces.com/acatalog/favicon.ico" >

                  Out of interest;

                  a) the favicon does appear when I add your site to 'favourites',
                  b) it does not appear in the browser search bar ?

                  Is this what everyone else gets ?

                  Thanks, S.

                    favicons are finnicky things - very browser dependant and a bit unpredictable. You may have to manually go into your cache and delete the favicon. For example the favi works fine for me on all pages in FF but not in IE (I didn't bother to go and search in the IE cache for it). I find it's better to test them in FF. You can also do animated favicons for FF - you can see this in the adddress bar on my adult site below.
