    Catalogue Upload Timeout Issues

Can anyone help with the following catalogue upload problems :
Firstly we are in a fairly remote location and our internet connection is not as fast as it could be.
When doing a web update (ctrl u) all seems to start OK untill we get to Creating Remote Directory Structure when after 20-30 secs we gat a timeout message (unable to conect to remote server).
I have checked the connection using my CuteFtp and can get in but this takes about 50-60 secs.
Is there any way of lengthening the time Actinic attempts to connect before timming out?
I have searched in the knowledge base and found a mention of the fact that Actninic "likes" a connection of 5 mins with 10 connections over 60 seconds - not sure what this means nor how indeed to change that setting.
Appreciate any help in this matter.
    Thanks,

I won't give you any help ! I have the same problem !
If the merging process takes more than 25-30 seconds, I get a timeout error.
Tried changing some timeout setup on some .conf files on my RAQ4 server with no results.

Have you worked with the timeout settings under Advanced FTP setup on the Network Settings dialog?

              FTP Options Button

I do not have this button in my Advanced Network Setup tab. All I see is the grey Standard tab at top left Server Datails on left hand side of page, FTP details on right (no buttons) apart from down the right hand side I have
              OK
              Cancel
              Apply
              Proxy
              Cart Options
              Convert
              Import
              Export
              Wizard
              Test
I have currently Catalog version 7.0.4.0.0.0 FEVA - am I missing something??
              Thanks,
              Arthur

You have to tick the box (bottom left quarter) Use Enhanced FTP to get the FTP options button to ungrey

Screen grab from v7.0.4. Do you have the "use enhanced FTP" option ticked

Should spend less time with the graphics and more time typing

                        Screen Grab

Thanks for the screen grab - unfortunately my Advanced Network Setup tab does not resemble that at all. I only have the top left Standard tab (no SSL) and I do not have any Use Enhanced FTP box to check neither do I have the FTP Options box/tab on left under Proxy.
                        Any ideas?
                        Thanks,

Are you in design / trial mode at all?

The SSL tab only appears when you enable SSL on the site.

Not on trial or test being running for years. Not to worry about the SSL bit I am more concerned that I do not have the Enhanced FTB at all...
