Reducing spacing between fragments

I'm sure this is excruciatingly simple but I'm a novice!

Having constructed a brochure page with 3 separate fragments I would like to reduce the space between the fragments to produce a more "Compact" look.

If this is possible can it be done on individual pages or would the change be applied to the whole site?

P.S. I'm using a "Clean Layout" if that helps.

If you click on the Edit button for each of the fragments, you will see that they are topped with <BR><BR> tags that adds two line feeds before your content appears, so if you remove those it will compact it some more....
