    CGI Scripts

Is it possible to see what the CGI scripts look like before uploading the site. Am waiting on my web hosting and can't see them in the preview mode. Also can they be changed or are they just standard?

    Cheers

The advanced User guide tells you how to "Install a Standalone Demo on a PC" Appendix A

This allows you to run thewhole of catalog on your local PC including checkout etc.

You can edit the perl scripts if you like. But any alterations to perl are not supported by Actinic.

      Hi Niall

If you want to view the pages generated by scripts online, when previewing offline, then click on the 'Catalog Pages Index' link on your main store page that only appears on the offline preview. This links to a list of pages that you wouldn't otherwise see e.g. checkout pages.

        Your talk with Niall

I like the idea of being able to view changes to the pages
you mention in your discusion with Niall:

But one problem for me, I am not using the brocure pages,
so I'm thinking that is why I don't get the link you speak of
        during the "Preview".
Can you give me the "hard code link" that I could use to
view the rest of the pages? As I do lots of modifications
to pages that I can't see without going to the actual client
        site.

Hope to hear from you soon.

John, I think your problem is that the 'Catalog Pages Link' only appears in Actinic Developer-generated sites.

You could see whether a file called 'P_DESiteMap.html' has been generated, but I don't think it will have done. Your best bet is to just open the following files within your 'PreviewHTML' folder: P_order00.html
          P_order01.html
          P_order02.html
          P_order03.html
          P_order04.html

            Thanks Chris,
That info will come in handy for the next time I
do any changes to those types of pages. Which
I am quite sure will happen.
