    Third-party remote fulfilment

In the past I've intervened all my customers' orders (in case they need 'enriching') before passing them on to my third-party fulfilment partners. This is obviously a very inefficient method, especially as the volumes increase, so I'd like to set up a process whereby the orders go straight through to the remote warehouse (with a copy to me) and they would then dispatch - assuming no enrichment was necessary (i.e. they have a complete delivery address).

Rather than clogging up this forum, if there is anyone out there who could spare me 10 minutes on the phone to talk through what can be done, I would be really grateful.

    Cheers,

    Bob.

Actinic sales is probably your best bet for help on this. Either that or a search of the forum which already has numerous references to this type of information, so is already "clogged".

Thanks Lee, I did try several searches but didn't come up with anything - obviously trying the wrong string of words !!!

I recall someone else on the forum has developed a system that does this. Sorry I can't remember who. Try searching the forum and hopefully you can dig up the old posts.

It can be a little confusing Bob what are your options and what is best, i have always found Actinic are far better at explaining it over the phone than reading their literature. The number of products and what they offer is somewhat confusing in my eyes.

This thread may help (at least with some other keywords):

I think it's Gabriel that has something he is developing.

you're right, and this is right up your alley too.

my solution allows a party anywhere on the internet, to view your orders, via their web browser. the trick is, that the viewer needs no special software. only the web and a browser.

email me here: gabriel@skateasylum.co.uk if you'd like more information, or to participate in a little free beta test.

                oh and leehack?

                *hug* ta.

however, after consideration, i think that what you need is actually some sort of data integration? where your completed orders are sent automatically to your fulfillemnt house? if this is the case then mole-end is actually your stop.

we'd really need more information on how your ff.house actually receives the data from you to ship the items.

It certainly looks the part. Any chance if a live url with some dummy test orders included so we can take a peruse? Would certainly help get you some exposure.

at the moment, its a rather messy beta.

i can let you have a beta mr hack, just as soon as i ahve the code in place that permits editing of products and orders... what will eventually be the pro version.

as of today, i'v sucessfully added ultra responsive and safe ajax, that saves data to the catalog. its actually faster than actinic for most editing tasks on the testing machine, which is a bit odd.

i'll chuck your name on the list and send you some code when its a bit cleaner.
