    External database link updating

    Hiya all,

I wonder if anyone can help with this, using v7.5 MU and connecting to external database for stock availability.

    Problem

    Scenario 1:
An order is placed online and downloaded, if you make an adjustment to the order by removing an item it will update the external database, if you add an item on to the order it will not update the stock.
If you come out of the order and go back into it you can amend the item you added last time successfully but not a new one.

    Scenario 2:
Order placed offline can be amended successfully in all cases without issues.

Has anyone else experienced the issues in scenario 1, and if so what was the resolution.

    Thanks

    Jason

ps Does anyone have a link to a patch version later than 7.5 FFUA as the only updates on the site relate to version 8

Often if you don't get any replies after a day or so, no-one has a solution for you.

Thus you just have to hope a member of actinic will come along and reply, or if you have cover phone actinic up ask ask.

          Jason,

What you describe could be down to Database corruption of some sort as I am not able to reproduce the scenario here. I am able to amend orders after following the steps you provided. I would suggest compacting your databases and then checking to see if there is any improvement.

If that does not help, I would suggest raising a support ticket or calling in support if you have a cover contract so that a member can look over the database and the external linking issue too.

          Kind regards,
