Have just finished yet another redesign of our site http://www.purethoughts.co.uk. As i get more used to working with actinic/dreamweaver and HTML i hope that the site begins to look better each time.
My problem is this to which i have posted on here previously and have found the solution.
Altho i have not really changed the templates of act_brochure primary, act primary i am starting to have the same problems as I did last time. All the pages seem to be fine with the exception of the contact us page, the basket and the checkout.
These pages seem to lose all the graphics, lose all colour and completely ignore the CSS that i have going on for the other pages.
Now when look at the page carefully when its beginning to load up it looks like the pages are looking for the graphics and css in the wrong place. Now i thought that this had something to do with the BASE HREF (where i went wrong last time) and have looked at posts about this and at first i thought i had found the solution but when i checked my pages the solutions they all suggested didnt apply to me.
What seems to work for me to stop this problem happening is clearing the cache, removing all exisitng sessions in actinic and its sorted. At first i thought it just applied to this local pc i have actinic installed on but now i have found it has happened when i use another PC, can anyone suggest what going on?? i cant expect my customers to know that they need to clear the cache when something like that happens. its annoying because its hard enough getting customers to shop at the best of times but once they've added stuff to the basket the least i want them to see is the basket freaking out on them?
Does this happen on anyones elses pc when they look at the site or is it just my local pc here. im using IE and havent got firefox or mozilla to try looking at the pages through them.
Anyones help would be greatly appreciated. As ever i remain hoppeful that you superstars can point me in the right direction and sort the problem that is causing me sleepless nites.
